With all the mixed feelings I have about shows like American Idol there is no
denying the quality acts it, and other reality shows, have introduced into the modern country music scene over the last few years. Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Kelly Clarkson and of course the young man with the deep country voice Scotty McCreery to name but a few.
Scotty returns to where it all began for him on the American Idol stage to perform both on the Tuesday and the Wednesday. Tuesday will see him sing “Please Remember Me” and on Wednesday he helps to celebrate whoever goes on to win season 11.
Scotty reflects
“I am so excited about going back to American Idol and seeing everyone again,” he says. “I hope to spend some time with the finalists, Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez, and share some of my experiences with them. I can’t believe that it’s been a year since I was in their shoes.”
Scotty McCreery’s video for “The Trouble With Girls” is also nominated for the CMT Music Awards’ USA Weekend Breakthrough Video Award. The awards will take place June 6 in Nashville.
