Father’s day can be a bittersweet day for many.
For those of us who are lucky enough to have our Dads in our lives
and be in good relationship with them can take the time to be thankful…

Just taking a moment to say I personally feel so grateful for my Dad today.

An amazing musical mentor, friend and a man of courage and integrity…

My thoughts also go out today to the many who are missing that figure in
their lives for whatever reason through either loss or broken relationship.

It’s a day where we reflect on family, both blood family and those who have become our

family through friendship and take time to treasure those we have around us.

I’ve found a few songs that say something to me about Fathers Day. One is
a song from Dougie Maclean (Scottish folk singer). This song has always spoken
to me very deeply. One Fathers day I wrote out the words for my dad in a card.
These words speak to me about my relationship with my Dad, but they also speak
on another level too. There is an echo of a very deep spirituality in this song.
